In February half term I climbed Rough Tor on Bodmin Moor, the second highest point in Cornwall with my family. You will see the three distinct peaks, from left to right: Showery Tor, Little Rough Tor and Rough Tor.
The kids loved clambering over the rocks and we all enjoyed something different. Suffolk is very flat so it's nice to find a few hills!
Rough Tor is just a few metres short of the highest point, Brown Willy (try not to snigger at the name!).
We saw wild ponies and the children loved jumping from boulder to boulder. You can see the summit from the car park, so although it is a bit of a walk and gets very steep when climbing to the summit, children should be able to manage it. The view from the top is definitely worth it!
