Our family home is somewhere we love to relax and be together. For me, it is really important that our home is calm and restful. With busy, active lives I love to chill at home when we aren't out adventuring.
That's why I was absolutely thrilled to collaborate with Photowall, a Swedish wall art company who creates wall art that reflects your personality. They believe that the most interesting homes are the ones that express people’s personalities. Here you will find wallpapers and prints that reflect your interests, dreams and ideas. A perfect idea for making your home insta-worthy without breaking the bank.
Collections from their designers and image collections are hand-picked by Photowall's creative team and ambassadors with a focus on quality, sensitivity for trends and sophisticated design. They believe that the appearance of a room's walls influences mood and energy levels. Their wall murals, canvas prints and posters are environmentally friendly, fire-protection certified and won't fade in sunlight.
I was very kindly gifted three canvases to brighten up my home. Read on to find out more about them.
Foggy forest
For our living room I went for the Foggy Forest in blue canvas. I had seen this on the Photowall instagram page and it drew my eye immediately. I love being in the forest and couldn't wait to bring the outdoors inside. We ordered this in size 100 x 70 cm.
Anyone who knows me knows my obsession with nature, outdoors adventures and hygge. Living right near the forest calms me and I jumped at the chance to bring the outdoors inside. This amazing forest canvas arrived a few days ago and was hung the same day as I was so excited.
It was delivered pre-assembled – ready to set up immediately! I am in love with this detailed, stunning picture of a mysterious, dense forest which goes perfectly in our living room.
Moomin Adventure
We also chose this Moomin Family canvas. This was also in size 100 x 70 cm. Finland is one of our favourite holiday destinations and somewhere I could see myself living. When we visited Helsinki in January this year, we saw a lot of Moomin memorabilia. In case you don't know the Moomins are a fictional troll family who live in beautiful Moominvalley in their Moominhouse, a place full of nature. Although commonly mistaken for hippos they are actually Finnish trolls. My daughter bought some Moomin postcards and the children all love our canvas.
I loved that it is called Moomin family on Adventure as that is what my blog is all about. Before we could hang the canvas I decided to paint our dining room a sunny yellow colour. I have been meaning to paint it for a little while so this gave me a reason to get on and do it!
It's fitting that they are Scandinavian when Photowall is a Swedish wall art company. Their wall murals, canvas, prints and posters are environmentally friendly, fire-protection certified and won't fade in sunlight.
Reindeer in snowy forest
As you had probably already gathered I am slightly obsessed with the idea of reindeer, hygge and nature so it was a no brainer to choose this gorgeous Reindeer in Snowy Forest canvas, size 100 x 70 cm, for our bedroom. Note the reindeer bedding too!
Nature in the home
On the Photowall website you can find inspiration to beautify your home. You can find inspiration among fantastic interiors, be guided by collections or get tips on trends and interior design.
We all know how much I love nature. It is the natural designs from Photowall that immediately draw my eye. Such as this Photowall’s exclusive collaboration with Jonna Jinton has resulted in the wall mural collection The Soul of Nature. Beautiful designs that reflect the dream-like nature in northern Sweden, featuring mist dancing over narrow waters, ice-blue trees in the twilight, and magical forests in different guises.
Which design will you pick?
