Cover up in the cold
Vivida Lifestyle
If you're a swimmer, kayaker, paddleboarder, surfer etc you will probably want a changing robe of some kind to keep you warm after being in the water. These all weather Puffer Changing Robes (above) cost £240 from Vivida Lifestyle. Pictured in Aventurine Green and Mineral Blue. They are eco-friendly, insulated and rainproof. http://www.vividalifestyle.com
There are many other changing robes on the market too. My personal favourite is the dryrobe and lots of swim friends have brands such as Red Original Pro Change Robes and Passenger Changing Robes.
Suits You
If you're anything like me and you like swimming you will probably have a lot of swimming costumes. I like to have a few so that if I swim a lot I don't have to keep waiting for them to dry! I recently got this Lucille Longer Length Swimsuit in Azure from Halocline (kindly gifted). Priced at
£49.00 it has lightly padded cups, tummy control and flattering ruching on the body to slim your silhouette. As a lady with a fuller figure I appreciate the longer-length suit for a more comfortable fit. It is also made from recycled Econyl® textile yarn, which is made from waste plastics. So by purchasing this swimming costume, you are helping to reduce the amount of waste plastic discarded in the environment.
Other brands myself and my swimming friends like are Batoko, Deakin & Blue and Speedo. If I am on my period I wear the WUKA Swim Bikini Bottom in Blue with a bikini top or underneath another costume. WUKA leak-proof swimwear combines sustainable high performance fabrics with practical style, it is designed to absorb periods and little leaks whilst in or out of the water.
Stretch it Out
For activities like yoga, pilates or dance you will need stretchy gym gear. These snake print Cycling Shorts are from Perky Peach (£30). The multi-sport shorts are made from recycled polyester and spandex with a tie waist to ensure the perfect fit. They have a phone pocket in the waistband perfect for those on the go. http://www.perkypeach.com
Other brands I like to wear are Eddie Bauer, Sweaty Betty, Tog24, and ACAI Outdoorwear.
These ACAI Thermal Outdoor Leggings (right) boast lots of really great features, such as a seam free inner leg to avoid chafing, non-slip waistband to ensure comfort, made with insulating thermal yarn, extremely quick drying in minutes, moisture wicking material, and machine washable.
Stay Hydrated
When working out or exercising outdoors, keep your water levels topped up.
This Klean Kanteen kids' insulated classic bottle (right) is priced £24.95 from Berry. It's BPA free and lightweight. Pictured in Navy Hearts. www.berryuseful.co.uk
This gorgeous mug from Sophie Allport (below) is priced £14.50 and will appeal to all ski enthusiasts. http://www.sophieallport.com
